Nominations and Elections

As a WOCNCB board-certified wound, ostomy, continence or foot care nurse you have the opportunity and privilege to serve on the board of directors and to participate in the nomination and election of board members.

Nominations

Nominations are accepted through April 30th of each election year. The WOCNCB issues an e-mail call for nominations at least 45 days prior to any election.

If you would like to be considered as a candidate for the WOCNCB Board or if you know someone who would be a good candidate, click the link below (the link is deactivated when elections are closed). You will be contacted by the WOCNCB Nominations Committee Chair for a brief interview. If selected to be placed on the ballot, you will be asked to submit your employment information, educational background, and answer questions regarding your leadership abilities and skills. You will also need to submit your Curriculum Vitae and a current photograph. If approved, you will be notified of nomination acceptance by May 30th of an election year. Please return in January, when the online nomination form will be open for the 2010 Election.

Elections

The next election will be held in 2010. All WOCNCB certificants will receive an e-mail notification when balloting is open.

WOCNCB elections are conducted online only, so be sure we have your current e-mail address by contacting the office at info@wocncb.org. Those who are WOCNCB-certified may vote through July 15 in an election year. After tabulation of the ballots, voting results will be posted. Candidates will be notified of the election results prior to the results being posted online.

WOCNCB Board Election Term

The next election will be held in 2010. At that time there will be two board positions to be filled. The terms of service will be from January 1, 2011 to December 31, 2014.
