Disaster Relief from WOCNCB
Certificate Replacement, Exam Extension and Benevolence Fund
Dear Colleagues,
Without question, 2011 has been a memorable year for natural disasters. The tragedies seemed to be almost endless and got a "jump start" on 2011 with the early morning tornado on New Year's Eve that that left substantial destruction and multiple fatalities in Arkansas. The disasters just seemed to continue almost weekly with unprecedented tornados, record ice storms and snowfalls, fires, floods, and perhaps something unique to your area.
Those of us who were not directly affected watched the evening news with heavy hearts and admired individuals bravely dealing with the aftermath of disaster. Some of us were close enough to offer our expertise with medical care, others offered direct help with clean-up efforts, others donated money and/or supplies to affected communities, and yet others yearned to be able to do something.
Recovering from a disaster takes months, with immediate needs being addressed first. Putting the pieces back together is a monumental task. Whether it was a tornado, flooding, fire or some other natural or personal disaster, we want you to know that the WOCNCB understands and empathizes with the tremendous task you are facing.
While we can never replace treasured keepsakes like family photos and refrigerator works of art, we can replace your WOCNCB certificate. If yours has been lost or damaged please contact the office at 1-888-496-2622 or info@wocncb.org and we will be happy to send a new certificate to you. It is a small gesture but will hopefully place you one step further along your journey of putting your life back together.
The WOCNCB is committed to supporting each and every certificant. If you need something more than a copy of your certificate because of a natural or personal disaster, please remember that we also offer an extension for testing and a Benevolence Fund for exam or PGP fees.
Your WOCNCB is here for you. We welcome the opportunity to help you so that you, in turn, can continue to help others.
Sincerely,

Diana L. Gallagher, MS, RN, CWOCN, CFCN, CHT
President, WOCNCB
