What a summer it has been! With the weather heating up outside, here at WOCNCB things have been heating up as well! Our new testing agency, PSI, has done an amazing job of minimizing the disruptions to testing during the transition phase and after a short pause testing was resumed and the portal opened in late June. We hope you find the application process to be easier and more streamlined. Remember, anyone who was scheduled to recertify before August 1, 2025 and planned to test for recertification, your recertification date was extended to September 30, 2025 to allow for extra time during the transition. For more information regarding testing with PSI we have a FAQ available on our website to help. If you haven’t tried the new streamlined PGP portfolio process for recertifying, I highly encourage you to give it a try! One of the most frequent comments we get from certificants is how easy and stress free the process is now! If you have questions or would like more information you can find all the information on our website here or join us for the next PGP office hours session on September 17, 2025. 

If you had the opportunity to attend the WOCNext Conference in Orlando, Florida last month I hope you had a great time and came by to visit us at our booth. I had the distinct honor to present our 2025 Employer of the Year Award to Dylan Carpenter MSN, RN, CWOCN, PCCN, MEDSURG-PC and Kelly Chapman BSN, RN, CWOCN, Team Lead of the WOC Team of UAB Hospital in Birmingham, Alabama! A well-deserved honor for an organization that goes above and beyond to support their WOC nurses and our profession. 

In other news, we will also be at the ANCC Magnet conference in Atlanta in October and two of our members, Cathy Harmon, DNP, MSN Nrg ED, FNP-BC, CWON, CFCN and Elizabeth Lynette Gunn APRN, GCNS-BC, CWCN, CFCN will be presenting some great sessions at the Desert Foot Conference in Phoenix, Arizona in December of this year! If you are planning to attend either of these conferences be sure to come by the booth and say Howdy! And finally, be watching in August for our email to vote on new Board of Director members. We will have three positions open for the coming year, and we have a great slate of candidates nominated to choose from!

WOCNCB Has Launched Testing with PSI

PSI Services has opened scheduling and testing for exams

If you already have an approved application with Meazure Learning or need to retake an exam, PSI Services has fully transferred your prior application from Meazure, and opened scheduling and testing for all WOCNCB certification exams. The exam content remains the same and your application and payment will automatically transfer to PSI Services.

You will first need to create a new login to access your pre-loaded application and schedule with PSI. To proceed, please follow these steps:

1. Visit the PSI website at https://test-takers.psiexams.com/wocncb
2. Select the Tests tab and find your test
3. Once you've found your test, Log In or Register
4. Once you have logged in or registered, proceed to book your test
5. Book your test.

Updates to Colorectal Cancer Screening

As of January 1, 2025, coverage changes for colorectal cancer screening tests were implemented. Additional screenings outside of a colonoscopy are now covered, such as screening using Cologuard Plus or other stool-based CRC screening tests. Click to learn more.
